If you’re anything like Us, you’ve probably been admiring Ali Larter’s looks in Landman — and now the actress is spilling some secrets about her character’s wardrobe.
“I want to know what push-up bra you’re wearing because the tits are always right,” host Amanda Hirsch asked Larter, 49, during the January 27 episode of the Not Skinny But Not Fat podcast.
“The sneaky one is the On Gossamer, because then you can put cups in it and it’s just very clean,” Larter replied, referencing the popular lingerie brand. “And it’s a lot of Victoria’s Secret. We do some Fleur Du Mal, we do some Agent Provocateur — because I match my bra to my outfit, obviously. We go through different ones and also, like, what fits best with the look. But there’s always cups in there. There’s always a lot going on to get them nice and high and ripe
Hirsch noted how “different” Larter’s personal style is from her Landman character, Angela Norris — the ex-wife of Billy Bob Thornton’s Tommy Norris, who eventually reconciles with the oil mogul. For Larter, dressing the part has been part of the fun.
“I think a big part of this character was finding her through her love of color,” Larter explained. “There’s a lot of color, a lot of oranges and blues, and then glitter, sparkle. My hair gets dyed so, so blonde for the show, I’m spray-tanned, and there are all these pieces that go in — she wears a lot of animal prints.”
While Larter has been serving glam, wildlife-inspired fashion on the show, she admitted her husband, Hayes MacArthur, isn’t a huge fan of her character’s style. The couple, married since 2009, share two children: Theodore, 15, and Vivienne, 11.
“My husband hates animal prints. He does not love them. And it’s so funny because that’s what I find defining about Angela,” the Heroes actress shared. “When I’m zipping into my leopard suit, you know, I feel a different kind of power. When I’m in her clothes and fully done, there’s just a comfort that I find — I can just go and unleash her to the world.”

But it’s not just Angela’s clothes that help Larter fully transform into her fun-loving character. Nailing the Texas accent was just as important for the Legally Blonde actress in the Taylor Sheridan drama series.
“The accent needed to be something where you know she wasn’t coming from a place of privilege compared to Cami, Demi Moore’s character, who’s this woman who just comes from wealth,” Larter explained. “You can feel a difference. So you can see different little intonations in the accents.”
The podcast episode followed Larter’s admission that she isn’t a fan of filming bikini scenes.
“I don’t think there’s an actress alive that’s like, ‘Woo! Got a bikini scene!’” she told POEPLE on Monday, January 26. “Nobody wants to do it.”
Larter said that she spends a lot of time “fighting off” her insecurities and “anxiety” in order “to put on that bikini and walk into these scenes.”
